Our goal is to create a community in which every person has a safe, meaningful, and positive Orientation experience. We recognize that members of our Orientation have a wide variety of lived experiences, so we have created trainings that you will be asked to complete in order to participate in any Orientation activity. We ask that you complete these trainings with an open mind and apply what you have learned not only during Orientation, but throughout your time at McGill University.

This year and every year the Orientation Community works hard to make improvements and provide a safe, meaningful, and positive Orientation experience. However, we acknowledge that there may be shortcomings in our systems, services, and practices that affect individual experiences. We recognize that to achieve our goal of a safe, meaningful, and positive experience, a continuous process of reflection and development is required.
